Last night, I participated in my first Art Walk , here in Corpus Christi.  It was a cold night.  We had some visitors and I was able to sell 5 of my original paintings.

I did sell the “muscle boat” and it was a little bitter sweet.  This has been one of my favorite pieces since painting it last year.

I never did find out who the owners were of the boat, but I had heard they docked the boat at the Marina out of Rockport prior to Hurricane Harvey.    Anyway, the boat was fantastic to paint.  I included a video slide of the boat when it was docked here around the time I painted it.

So here is the painting:

Corpus Christi Marina Plein Air (Arches Paper 12 x 16 – Daniel Smith Watercolor Paints) – September 2017

I also sold a few other works including my recent Spoonbill rendition (a preliminary study) and some works from my trip to Sarasota Florida.

All in all, we really enjoyed the Art Walk and hope to do it again. Our next show will be at Bob Hall Pier on the Beach February 9th, 2018 at the Barefoot Mardigras Event. See you soon and happy painting!
